Travel about 45 kilometres north of Waikkal and you'll arrive at the action of Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte.

Sitting 3 kilometres north, Nayinamadama East is definitely worthy of a day trip. Lots of people come here to experience Negombo Beach.

Does relaxing on the shore sound tempting? Spend some time at Bentota Beach or Mount Lavinia Beach.

The splendour of Mother Nature is on display in multiple places around Waikkal. Just 40 kilometres away, Beira Lake is a terrific place to start. Muthurajawela Visitor Centre sits 25 kilometres away and is another popular spot for a bit of downtime.
