Excellent stay for solo travellers

Had a lovely stay in Wombats Vienna as a solo traveller who booked a last-minute getaway. The location was brilliant and easy to get to. There is a metro station right outside the hostel and most of the attractions are within easy walking distance. The private room was comfortable and very clean and I have booked another Wombats hostel for the next leg of my trip because of it. The staff were very helpful and very knowledgable which was good for my first visit to Vienna. In the evenings, the bar was good with some events taking place which made it easier for me to meet other travellers (although they were all a bit younger than me!) My room was on the second floor and was very quiet despite some building work outside. I also did the walking tour which was superb. Charles was very funny and loves Vienna - he gave good advice on what to see and how to get around. I would definitely stay here again!

Clean, friendly but no air conditioning!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean with the bar etc. The heat however was unbearable with no air conditioning. All the fan did in my room was blow around the hot air

Good location, supermarket next door. Very clean. Helpful staff and good facilities. Only negative...dorm for 6 females was very small but had curtains to allow privacy. a great feature though was a fan in your individual bed area

The stay was very pleasant! The apartment was very spacious and well maintained My only complaint is there was only one washroom shared with 8 people and there wasn't any toilet available on each floor! So that was inconvenient... Everything else was very nice!

The staff were really nice and helpful, and I’m very happy that they offered a free walking tour - it was a great and informative tour that leaves right from the lobby. It was also really convenient that they have a bar and a cafe right there in the hostel!
