Holidays in Valencia

Trust us, Valencia is the kinda place that's worth calling in your annual leave for. It's located in Los Angeles County, a well-loved region that's filled with envy-inducing beaches and sandy beaches. Need we say any more?

It's situated 3,700 kilometres to the west of the nation's capital, Washington.

One of the region's most iconic attractions is Six Flags Magic Mountain. You'll find it in Stevenson Ranch, 5 kilometres southwest of Valencia.

Be sure to take the entire family along to experience what Scratch has to offer.

Remember to bring a picnic so you can enjoy a leisurely bite beside the water at Venice Beach or Zuma Beach.

Mother Nature's splendour can be found in many places around Valencia. Just 11 kilometres away, Castaic Lake is a terrific place to start. Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve sits 35 kilometres away and is another pleasing spot for some peace and quiet.

Whether you're a baseball follower or you just want to taste the gripping atmosphere, try to attend a live game at Hangar Stadium, the home ground of the Lancaster JetHawks. You'll find the stadium 45 kilometres away in Lancaster.

You don't have to miss out on your regular game of golf. The Valencia Country Club is open for casual play.

Snow bunnies and powder hounds won't want to leave Valencia, as it provides access to Mountain High and Mt. Waterman Ski Resort. Just be sure to pile on the layers! These snow-capped playgrounds can get very cold indeed.

You may like Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. It's an excellent place to wander around if you find yourself nearby.

Making it to your flight on time can be a stressful experience. That said, you should be right if you're prepared. The nearest terminal, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), is 55 kilometres to the south.
