Holidays in Trud

When chucking a sickie becomes way too easy, it's time to ditch the corporate treadmill and say hello to Trud!

It lies 130 kilometres southeast of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Trud is right near some nice natural attractions. White River Eco Trail is 9 kilometres away and is certainly worth a look.

Get set to experience some gripping soccer action at Hristo Botev Stadium in Plovdiv, 11 kilometres away. Remember to cheer on home team the PFC Botev Plovdiv by slipping into a few pieces of yellow and black!

There's nothing like rolling out of bed and carving up the slopes at Pamporovo Ski Resort. Once you've checked out all the runs there, pack up your snowboard and continue on to Borovets Ski Resort.

The Ethnographic Museum and Saint Marina Church are not far from the centre of Voyvodinovo, 7 kilometres to the southeast. Need more? Plovdiv, 10 kilometres to the south of Trud, is home to the Plovdiv Amphitheatre and the Aliosha Monument.

Heading to Sopot? This place is just 45 kilometres to the north. If you're staying here a little while, grab a map and circle the History Museum, the Kurshum Mosque and the Vasil Levski Museum. Also consider stopping by Sveta Bogoroditsa Church and Sopot - Intermediate station.
