Holidays in Trece Martires

Your last holiday feel like it was an eternity ago? No worries — book a ticket to Trece Martires and you'll be away in no time!

Philippines' capital city, Manila, lies roughly 35 kilometres to the north of Trece Martires.

Santelmo Beach and Small La Laguna Beach are great destinations if you want to go somewhere to unwind by the ocean.

You don't have to be stuck inside a car all day to soak up some nature. Just 35 kilometres out of Trece Martires, Taal Volcano is a popular place to get a breath of fresh air. Even more tranquil surrounds are waiting for you at Mount Makiling, 40 kilometres away.

Enjoy the excitement of seeing a live basketball game at Cuneta Astrodome, the home turf of the Phillipine Basketball Association. After you've cheered and clapped along with their biggest fans, why not enjoy a drink with a few of them somewhere nearby? To get to the stadium, head 35 kilometres northeast to Pasay.

There's even more just around the corner. General Trias, 7 kilometres to the northeast, is popular for Church of San Francisco de Malabon and Balite Falls. Alternatively, if Malibiclibic Falls and Mt Pico de Loro sound better to you, travel 9 kilometres south from Trece Martires to Indang.

Travellers often head over to Tagaytay. This destination is 20 kilometres away and pretty close to Summit Ridge Promenade, Lourdes Church and Ayala Mall. If you're planning to stay a little while, remember to visit the Puzzle Mansion and Peoples Park In The Sky.

There's no better way to understand a place than to literally take a big bite out of it! You're invited to explore the culture, history and personality of Cavite by indulging in some of its top food and drink.

Guava and mango are two common ingredients in many of the dishes here. If you don't have a liking for them already, you may by the end of your stay!

No food-obsessed traveller would visit Trece Martires without trying a handful of the signature meals, such as sinigang (hot and sour soup) and pinakbet (vegetables in fish sauce).

'Stressed' spelled backwards is 'desserts', and we don't believe in coincidences. There's no better way to say goodbye to your worries than with bibingka (coconut cake), a treat that's often found on dining tables here.

To beer or not to beer? Of course, the answer is always beer. While you're in this neck of the woods, San Miguel Premium All-Malt Beer is the name to say.

Ever heard of gin? It's one of the tastiest ways to add some oomph to your night out in Cavite. Ask the bar person for a taste and then down a shot or two!

Don't forget to pencil the 12th of June in your schedule. To the locals, this means one thing — Independence Day. An important day of celebrations, this is an excellent time to be in the country.

If you're flying home, it's a good idea to map your route to the terminal before leaving. From the centre of Trece Martires, you'll need to travel approximately 30 kilometres northeast to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), the closest airport.
