If you've gotta stay near the airport when you arrive, you can easily book a night at the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu or the Royal Park Hotel THE Haneda. And if you can't be bothered pulling out the map, Haneda Airport can be found 70 kilometres away from downtown Torisawa.

This is a traditional Japanese hotel with futon mattresses on the floor for your bed. No shoes permitted. It is older but I found the place charming especially after I found the fabulous hot tub spa rooms where clothing was prohibited ( woman’s separate from mens) Next time I would definitely get the rooms facing mount fuji with their own private spas. I did not care for the breakfast included which was very authentic with fish and seaweed and a bunch of weird food. But fun to try once. We really had a good time seeing mount Fuji from the roof top deck. The deck needs some tender loving care. The staff spoke minimal English but were very nice.
