My husband had a terrible experience at the Crowne Plaza Panama Airport. First of all, the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel never arrived at the scheduled time. My husband landed at 6 a.m., and they had informed him that the shuttle would be there at 7 a.m., but it never showed up, so he had to take a taxi and pay for it out of his own pocket.
I made the reservation online well in advance, and they had confirmed that everything was set and ready for his arrival. When he finally got to the hotel, they told him there was no reservation under his name and that the hotel was fully booked, so they had no room for him. They sent him to have breakfast while they tried to sort things out, and he finally got a room at 9:30 a.m. The problem was that he needed to check out by 3 p.m. since he was just in transit, but when they charged him, they billed him for the full amount. There was no compensation offered, no gesture like a complimentary lunch or anything at all. Overall, my husband had a very bad experience, and we absolutely do not recommend this hotel.
