It lies 70 kilometres to the south of Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland.

Take some time out for a picnic and feel the gentle sea breeze on your face at Silver Sands Beach or Portobello Beach.

Go beyond Teviothead and you'll find some unique natural attractions. Just 45 kilometres away, Northumberland National Park is a brilliant place to spend some time in the fresh air. You also can't go wrong with Kielder Water, 35 kilometres away from Teviothead.

Feel the icy wind tussle your hair as you race your way back to base at Midlothian Snowsports Centre. If you're a real powder hound, you'll also want to pack up the car and head to Midlothian Ski Centre.
