Comfy but not a modern hotel

Comfy & spacious. Looked out onto the road rather than “lake view”. No net curtains so lacked privacy. Close to town & lake. Friendly welcome.

Beautifully attended, clean, comfortable place. The lake is just steps away across a street. Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance. Picnic tables outside each room are perfect for a relaxing bleakfast or even working on laptop. We'll stay again at Lakefront Lodge if we can go back to Te Anau!

Our second night stay was the same as the first, it was pretty wonderful. We were originally booked in two separate rooms for each of our nights there, but the property management switched it so that we were in the same room both nights, which was absolutely amazing to us. This place is worth it!

First I would like to say that we almost missed out check in time due to an accident blocking the main road from Queenstown the Te Anau. We left messages for the staff and they made accommodations for us to be able to get into the room very late at night and well after check in. They were incredibly courteous and hospitable. The lady we talked to in the morning was super nice and understanding of our situation. The place itself was nice and clean, but a tad outdated. That said, it was comfortable and spacious. Over all, this is a wonderful place to stay.

Great little spot! Friendly staff & comfy room. Easy walk into town center for dinner. Picnic table area with lake view right outside. Very nice place.
