Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
Room was absolutely freezing on arrival. And bedding dirty/stained with dodgy stains
The bathroom had no form of heating at all .
Bedding was changed. But it should never have been like that
Heating we were told had been sorted, complained again, was told it was on but it went off again 5 minutes later then i was given a portable heater . So three attempts to lift the room temperature from 14 degrees on a wet windy cold day . It was obvious that this is an issue they are used to dealing with .
I was offered a free drink but i asked for the manager to contact me regarding a room reduction as my visits to reception were getting frustrating . I have not had any contact
Breakfast was ok but we were there at exactly 6.30and it was already tepid. The scrambled eggs were something weird - question “egg”
Staff were accommodating but they most certainly appeared used to having to deal with a heating issue .
I was offered another room (for the mattress) then told I couldn’t have be offered another room (for the heating ) because they were full . Rather contradictory -maybe the heating was the same in all rooms ?)
Chosen for convenience to ferry and early breakfast , was steeply priced for what was delivered, even if we had had heating, definitely wouldn’t stay again.
