A neighbourhood in the Queensland capital of Brisbane, you'll want to kick yourself in the pants for not visiting sooner. If you like meeting locals while on the road, Brisbane is packed with potential new BFFs. Around 2,200,000 people call this city home. To reach Tarragindi from Brisbane Airport, hop into a taxi and travel southwest for 17 kilometres. From the centre of Brisbane, it's 7 kilometres to the south.

With a good deal of the city's attractions close by, Tarragindi is a sightseer's dream. From Queen Street Mall to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, there's lots to keep visitors on the go. Don't forget to put Roma Street Parkland and Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium on your itinerary too. A great way to soak up this city is to check out a few of its neighbourhoods. Want to learn something new? The Gallery of Modern Art, the Queensland Cultural Centre, the Southbank Parklands and the Footsteps Gallery are a few recommended cultural sites.

While you can easily see a lot of art on your laptop these days, there's nothing quite like looking at the real thing. Explore the area's creative side by visiting the Queensland Art Gallery and the QUT Art Museum.

Check for any special events before making your way over to have a look at the exhibits at the Queensland Museum, the Queensland Museum and Sciencentre and the MacArthur Museum Brisbane.

There's nothing quite like that feeling of anticipation when a show is about to begin. Take your seat and watch the curtains rise at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, the Gardens Theatre and Riverstage.

How about a round of golf? Pull on a pair of khaki slacks, shine your clubs and perform your finest Tiger Woods impression at the Saint Lucia Golf Links, the Corinda Golf Course and the Indooroopilly Golf Club.

Kids can have fun in rather unexpected places. Spoil them with visits to the State Library of Queensland and the Brisbane Square Library.

If you're holidaying with the kids, they'll be thrilled with a couple of hours at one of the local family-friendly attractions. The Wheel of Brisbane and the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds are the ideal places for them to burn off a little steam.

If you're a nature-loving traveller, schedule an outing to Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Mount Gravatt Lookout and Oxley Creek Common.

If the vigour of the city is tiring you out, recharge your batteries with a visit to one of the nearby parks. New Farm Park, Mowbray Park and South Brisbane Memorial Park are great spots to kick back and relax.

The shopping experience is different for everyone. Whether you're after something in particular or just after some retail therapy, you can't miss a trip to The Markets, Davies Park, South Bank Lifestyle Market and Toowong Village.

QUT Old Government House, the ANZAC Square War Memorial, the Museum of Brisbane and the Naldham House are sure to impress visitors with an interest in history. Do a little research before head over so you can really appreciate these fascinating sites.

Sacred places such as St. Stephens Cathedral, Albert Street Uniting Church, St. Mary's Anglican Church and the Brisbane Hebrew Congregation can give you a greater understanding of the region's faith. Relax in the peaceful atmosphere and take some time to contemplate.

Few things are as exhilarating as heading along to a live sports game. Why not catch the Brisbane Roar, the Brisbane Broncos or the Queensland Reds attempt to claim glory at their home arena of Suncorp Stadium?

Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Considering it’s a 5 star hotel the room price is honestly a steal. Buffet breakfast was good, nothing extravagant but definitely gets the job done. Parking is a little steep but expected.

Overall the place was okay but very noisy. I also accidentally booked my room for the wrong weekend, they wouldn’t even consider changing the date. I understand I didn’t purchase a flexible room; however, I wasn’t asking for a credit. It left very poor taste in my mouth and I wouldn’t use them again ...
