The country's capital, Beijing, lies about 2,000 kilometres to the north of Tanweijiao.

Macau Tower and the University of Macau are some of the most renowned attractions around. See them in real life in Cotai, 10 kilometres to the east of Tanweijiao.

After a reason to pay a visit to Taipa? Hac Sa Beach, the Kun Iam Temple and Leal Senado are three pretty good ones. They're all waiting for you just 10 kilometres away.

Kick back and have a picnic and drink in the sights and sounds of the ocean at Stanley Main Beach or Shek O Beach.

Mother Nature's splendour can be witnessed in numerous places around Tanweijiao. Just 50 kilometres away, Lantau Country Park is a great place to kick off your sightseeing. Zhuhai Amazon Primitive Ecological Garden sits 25 kilometres away and is another ideal spot for a bit of downtime.

Get your blood flowing by taking a walk around the Flower City Garden or Seac Pai Van Park. If you're feeling a bit hungry, they're two exceptional spots to spread out a blanket and have a picnic lunch.

Are you a keen sports fan? Then you should look into the event schedule at Zhuahai Stadium, located 18 kilometres to the northeast in Zhuhai.

Like the sound of Cotai Strip and the Museum of Macau? These fantastic sights are in Coloane, just 11 kilometres east of Tanweijiao. Or maybe Guia Fortress and the Macau Fisherman's Wharf are more your thing? To see them, travel to Macau, 11 kilometres to the northeast.

Keen to check out Yixianhu Park, Zimaling Park and the Zhongshan Museum of Art? Head along to Zhongshan, 45 kilometres to the north, and set up camp. These sights, along with the Xiangshan Commercial Culture Museum and Zhongshan Changzhou Village, are all nearby.

When it comes that time to say "Zàijiàn" to Tanweijiao, don't worry — you can always come back!

If you're flying home, it's a good idea to plan your route to the terminal beforehand. From the centre of Tanweijiao, you'll need to go approximately 12 kilometres east to Macau International Airport (MFM), the nearest airport.
