Holidays in Tangalooma

Hey, we feel ya! You're sick of your boss and you need a holiday, yeah? So why not use some annual leave and drive around the striking beaches and rainforest of Queensland. Just base yourself in Tangalooma and take it from there.

It's 990 kilometres northeast of Canberra, the nation's capital.

Scan the horizon for ships while the cool sea breeze hits your face at Surfers Paradise Beach or Kings Beach.

It's well known that simply spending time in nature is good for your mind and body. In light of that, why don't you journey 11 kilometres out of Tangalooma to Blue Lagoon? Blue Lake National Park, just 40 kilometres away, is another recommended choice.

Take a journey back through time as you stroll around the Tangalooma Wrecks. This historical site has plenty of stories to tell.

Big fan of soccer? Then change into some orange and black and see the Brisbane Roar bid for glory at Suncorp Stadium. Located 50 kilometres away in Brisbane City, the venue is also the home of the Brisbane Broncos and Queensland Reds and regularly hosts live concerts.

Don't be surprised if you find fellow travellers at the Moreton Island Sand Dune.

Time to head home from the striking Queensland region? You might only have a few Australian dollars remaining in your pocket, but you'll be rich in incredible experiences.

Flying home? Map a route, pack your bags and double check your alarm. The closest airport, Brisbane Airport (BNE), is just 35 kilometres to the southwest.
