Book Sunshine Station hotels

From the outside this place looks a bit run down but our unit (No 25) appears to have had a recent total renovation which is of a high standard. Can't say they are all the same but this one is very good. The bathroom is excellent. Odd shaped but large shower recess with a strong and well regulated water flow. Queen size bed, with a firm mattress, good AC. Fridge, kettle, cups & mugs. What's wrong? All upstairs and the handrails are too low, might be OK for a kid. There is also quite a lot of noise coming through from adjoining rooms.

The property was a basic chalet. We stayed there for 5 nights I believe and it was a very busy weekend in Melbourne with the Formula 1 Grand Prix and labour day on Monday which meant the Moomba festival was also on that weekend. The chalet is situated in a campsite. Transport to go to the city was easy enough with a bus just outside the campsite entrance. The chalet was very small but I knew that when I booked it. For a short stay it was OK. Any longer and I recommend people book a bigger chalet. The place was clean but I did struggle to cook as there wasn't enough crockery, cuttleryb and utensils. The staff at reception were friendly and the camp seem to be well run and very clean. There is a swimming pool which I did not use but good if you have children.

Excellent docklands location, Pool was wonderful, customer service was good except the staff member on the buffet breakfast, he was outstanding, really friendly and explained everything available to us, was very warm and welcoming. Everything was pretty clean and the pool was wonderful. Only feedback would be to ensure the pool lounges have been cleaned of mess in the afternoon and the check in staff should let people checking in of the promotions available for guests to take care of eg 50% credit at Archie brothers. Overall really wonderful stay!
