Great location if you plan to use the railway system, right next to Kl Sentral station, a short walk within the buildings. Next to the Sentral Mall, food galore everywhere you look. A huge spread buffet breakfast, great value. Only downside is that the slightest noise outside can be heard through the door. Maybe a good insulation around the door can help.

Outstanding value for money — genuinely hard to beat in KL. I stayed in a Genius Suite which was enormous, beautifully furnished with a four-poster bed, chaise longue, and a gorgeous arched window. The bedding deserves special mention: proper feather pillows and Egyptian cotton that made for the best night’s sleep of my trip. It’s those details that separate a true five-star experience from the rest. The Majestic has real character. In a city where many upscale hotels feel like interchangeable corporate properties, this one stands apart with its colonial heritage and distinctive atmosphere. It feels worthy of the Autograph Collection branding — individual, considered, and with a genuine sense of place. The smokehouse bar alone is worth a visit even if you’re not staying. Staff were friendly, efficient, and welcoming throughout. Everything felt well-run without being overly formal. The only slight caveat is location. While centrally placed on paper, it doesn’t quite have the walkability of areas like Mont Kiara or Bukit Bintang — you’ll likely need a Grab for most outings. That said, if you’re happy with that trade-off, the quality of the room and the price point make this an exceptional choice. For what you’d pay for a basic chain hotel room in London, you’re getting a genuine suite in a landmark property. Highly recommended.

Fantastic room. Amazing service, especially the butler service. Great food, including outstanding breakfasts. One of the best hotel stays ever. But why charge for the (small) kids club?

The public areas of this hotel are impressive — the rooftop pool, bar, lobby and restaurant all have a premium feel that sets expectations high. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. However, the rooms tell a different story. While everything you need is there — good shower pressure, towels, a fully equipped kitchen — the overall look and feel is quite basic and underwhelming. It reminded me more of a budget hotel chain than a Hyatt property. I also requested a high floor but was given one of the lowest, which was disappointing given the building's height and the views on offer. Worth noting too that elevator noise was noticeable from my room despite being some distance from the shaft — you could hear the muted rumble of lifts moving up and down the building. A solid option for the facilities and service, but don't expect the room itself to wow you.
