From Stark, venture 100 kilometres southwest to get to Montpelier, an important city. You can also take off 160 kilometres to the south to visit another excellent city, Concord.

You don't have to be stuck on the road all day to witness a bit of nature around these parts. Just 40 kilometres out of Stark, Mount Washington State Park is a lovely place to enjoy some fresh air. More scenic surrounds await at White Mountain National Forest, 40 kilometres away.
