Seconds away from Porthmeor Beach, 4 Porthmeor Court is a comfortable cottage situated in the heart of Downalong and boasts a private car parking space adjacent to the cottage. This cottage is minutes away from St Ives Town Centre with its galleries, restaurants and shops. An ideal location for exploring St Ives for all the family.

This picturesque granite pillared cottage offers spacious accommodation over three floors. Whilst it is relatively recently built, it has a traditional cottage feel allowing the best of both worlds.

Outside there is a lovely courtyard with a bench to enjoy a glass of wine or coffee in the warm evenings

Enter the cottage via the traditional stable door and you will find the heart of the home with a lovely country-style kitchen with dining area, two cosy armchairs and wall mounted flat screen TV. Perfect for family entertaining.

The kitchen is fully fitted with oven and induction hob, extractor, dishwasher, washer/dryer, integrated microwave and fridge freezer.

Ascending to the first floor, you'll discover a welcoming haven, a snug sitting room exuding warmth and comfort. The room is furnished with a sumptuous corner sofa decorated with lovely scatter cushions, TV and quirky furnishings.

On the first floor is a pretty twin-bedded room with wardrobe and mirrored dressing table. A separate wc is also situated on this floor.

On the second floor, there are two further good-sized light and airy bedrooms, the first of which offers wonderful flexibility with a zip and link bed which can be made up as two single beds or one king sized bed. There is also chest of drawers, mirror and bedside tables. The third bedroom has a double bed with large wardrobe, bedside cabinet and a window table and chairs.

The walk-in shower room located on the ground floor which is ideal after a day on the beach. There is also a free-standing basin and WC.

On the second floor there is a family bathroom with bath with shower over and hand basin. There is a further separate WC on both the first and second floors.

Great Stay

This was a last minute booking as the property I'd booked fell through.The property is not the prettiest from the outside, could do with a tidy up (jet wash?) in the shared courtyard. But location is fabulous! We were able to walk from beach in wet suits and beaches, town, harbour is all right there.House itself was great, 3 floors with toilrts/bathrooms on each floor which was reslly handy with a gull house. House is nicely done up with everything you need. We loved the pictures apart from top Kingsize/twin room was a bit dark. Double room was really pretty.Kitchen had everything, we had to move crockery/pots around to make space for our food as no free cupboard for this. Minor, minor things though, overall we had a fantastic stay and would stay again. Walk in reinforced shower and tub/hangers for wetsuits was really handy. Washer/dryer worked well. A note about how to use heatingvwould have saved going through all the booklets.Thanks for a great stay, St. Ives we love you

Perfect location on The Island.

Great location a short stroll from the beach and into the harbour front. Narrow streets so best to leave car in car port. Clean and tidy with all the utilities you need. Lounge would be on the small side if six people were staying but was perfect for the four of us. It was nice to have two showers. Communication with management company was great and access via key box was seamless.
