Please report to the hotel - in room 2 in the bathroom 1) the strip light/shaver did not work and 2) the bathroom door hinges squeak loudly, which disturbed us at night.
Thank you
Huge, comfortable four-poster bed in a less than huge room with a markedly sloping floor - definitely uphill from one corner to the other. Bear in mind this is basically a pub with rooms, so expect to hear noise and piped music from the bar and chatter from the beer garden outside the window. They didn't make up the room or give us clean cups (but did top up the tea and coffee). The bathroom extractor fan didn't work.
Staff were very nice and helpful. Food very good and great real ales.
The room we were assigned (No 3) doesn't appear on their website. It is very very small with no facilities. The bathroom is even smaller and you have to stand outside it to dry yourself. The mattress is old. You can hear everything in the next room from the bathroom and road noise wakes you up very early. Not worth the room price but the pub and food side is nice.
Rang ahead as arriving earlier than expected. Was told can drop off bags, we did and they said pop back room will be ready in 25 mins. Staff very helpful.
Bar serves craft beers and ales. Separate dining room looked very nice. Our room was bright and clean. Bathroom good size, lovely towels and good shower. Rear terrace of pub in the sun in the afternoon.
Negatives, rooms are small with limited hanging space. Ours was very warm and windows we found difficult to open. Plus it is on a main road through town. Bring ear plugs and all will be good.
Stayed here a number of times over the years. So convenient for the bars and shopping.
Lovely quaint room that shows the period of the building.
Lovely and clean. The bar area and beer garden are very popular. Will definitely be staying here again before the end of the year for Christmas shopping.

Absolutely dreadful for a good nights sleep if you stay in one of the rooms facing the Main Street.
No idea why I was given this room when there was others spare.
Room was also stuffy.
Woke up this morning after finally sleeping feeling I should have just stayed elsewhere instead of the mentality of booking somewhere that’s a smaller business.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. Shrewsbury is a lovely city, lots to see. Lovely restaurants close by. The food served at the pub looked delicious but we decided on Italian which was close by.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Lovely old building, noisy and bright
The room was above a pub. Looked lovely but sound insulation was terrible. All of the music leaked into my room.
I asked when the music would stop and I was told 11pm. When it I asked it they could turn it down they did but I could still here it.
The staff were clearing up and cleaning the lines with the bass and drums from their turned down music leaking into my room. By 11.30 I asked them to turn it off and they did. But I still could not sleep. The corridor was strongly lit and the gaps in my door were so big it all leaked into my room.
Great looking place, but if you have sensitivity to noise or light, I would avoid
Beautiful room. Staff very friendly, dinner was excellent. Setting outside on 2 floors with fairy lights and heaters.
Only small negative got woken up early by lorry/dustcart? As room facing the road
