Book Shimobe Onsen hotels

Wonderful experience from start to finish! The view, the dinner, the service… best experience we’ve had in Japan so far!

The room was great, and the view of the mountain was worth every penny. We had a poor experience with their free shuttle as we waited 45 minutes at the station prior to pick up, but the shuttle never came. We thought it was delayed which would have been fine, but after 30 minutes we called to check. We were initially blamed to have missed it, but we had photos of being at the the hotel shuttle stop way before the scheduled departure time. After requesting for some sort of compensation (as this wasted our time), we were given an hour late check out.

I rate this hotel pretty high but the only thing I didn’t like was the bed. The bed was pretty hard for my body and only one pillow. Everything else was good. It’s close to the lake, restaurants and bus stops. There were great many amenities available. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The staff were very helpful.

Great…would highly recommend

View of Mt Fuji from your window!

The view to the Mount Fuji from my room (331) was amazing! However, apart from that and helpful staff the hotel is quite run down. Breakfast was very poor, especially options for westerners.
