This was a great property in an amazing location. Perfect view of the castle from our room. Nice walking path right outside the hotel. The property owner was so friendly and helpful.

Superb Setting

The location is convenient and the setting is absolutely magical (in front of the castle). The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. Breakfast menu was a bit limited but the food was tasty and enough to start the day. On the whole, a memorable stay in accomodation with character.

Great little hotel in Savonlinna!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay ... wish it could have been longer. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to Savonlinna. We stayed in the Tavis bldg...our accommodation was huge and very nice with a separate living room and bedroom. The bathroom was small, but the charm more than made up for it. The breakfast was outstanding and we enjoyed the conversations with the owner.

Excellent location and comfortable room

i stayed at this lodge for one night in early September. It was very quiet - I did not see any other guests. The location is perfect - by the lake, one minute walk from the castle. The room included a kitchen and living area. A very lavish breakfast was brought to my door in a basket in the morning.
