Our 5th stay at the 17 Hundred 90, and it didn't disappoint. Everything from the friendly service, to the comfort of the bed, and the location is excellent. We were just sorry to miss seeing Grumpy this time; but Barbara and Martha are top-notch! It's our top choice when in Savannah!
We had a wonderful time staying at 17Hundred90 and will definitely be back for future visits to Savannah. Every member of staff (especially Grumpy) was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made our visit special. We wanted small and historic with a potential side of spooky, and the inn delivered. What a bonus the tavern was too—while we didn't get a chance to dine in the restaurant, we'll make a point to do so next time.
Always like staying at a historic property and this one is exceptional. Especially liked the private courtyard, parking and same floor separate sitting room [217 E York St building]. Chris in the office was very helpful while checking in by personally walking me over to the building and pointing out some features. Only drawback: the room and sitting area chould use some light bulbs!
Great location and friendly staff. I can certainly appreciate the old feel of the hotel but it could use a bit of updating and detailed cleaning. With that said, we enjoyed our stay there.
First off the staff was very freindly and helpful. Grumpy the handyman showed us around and helped us with parking and even helped take luggage upstairs to our room. I knew that the property had no elevators so I can't really blame them for that but it was very inconvenient. The inside smelled very musty but I know its an old building. If you like modern conveniences and amenities this won't be for you. My husband hated it. We were awaken at 4:00 am each night and we stayed for two nights with a very loud sound coming from the air conditioning unit plus it was leaking too. We had to turn it off and put the fan on. The handyman said it was probably defrosting lol. The last night we stayed I heard a strange noise like a plastic water bottle being squeezed . I don't know if there was a presence in the room but it was very strange. The air worked fine and only made the noise at 4 am which was weird too . The restaraunt was great though the filet Mignon melted like butter in your mouth and we got two free drink vouchers when we checked in to use at the bar. All and all I wouldn't stay again. Its just not my cup of tea. I love old buildings ,antiques and history but I need my modern conveniences. Its an experience I can look back on but just know if you stay here your gonna be thugging it out lol. The creepy vibes weren't for me either but it may not bother some people
Unique traditional property within easy walking distance of Savannah's main attractions. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Room 203 had a loud constant humming noise coming from ventilation in the corridor, made it difficult to relax.
This was our 1st time staying at 17hundred90 inn but it won’t be the last. I was sold on room 102 based off the bed which was amazing. The room has no windows so it’s hard to determine how early it is. The staff was great. We made reservations at the restaurant and dinner was great. The 2 free drinks were a welcome surprise and we spent some time at the bar our last night where the bartender is amazing. Highly recommend
I absolutely loved this stay, it’s was close to everything, felt like an immersive experience you’d get with a bnb but as a hotel. We will absolutely be back.
Loved the local bar with good reasonable drinks and awesome food. Our room had no windows and the bathroom was very dated worn in.

Placed in the guest house. Not sure maintenance knew the room was being used. Cabinets needed dusting on the inside. Price was great so mu tolerance was high. Loved the jacuzzi and location. Very historic and quiet. Would use again.
It's was a sweet, little quiet room, with a deep soaking tub. Add off Street parking and easy walking anywhere in the city and a cute little coffee shop right around the corner and it's the great place to spend your time not exploring this great city.
The staff was amazing! Martha and Zac were fabulous. The regulars at the bar were so inviting, informative and entertaining! If we are ever in Savannah agian, we would definatley stay at 17hundred90!
