It's located close to two of Slovakia's most popular cities. Head 110 kilometres to the west to visit Eisenstadt. Alternatively, go west 110 kilometres to reach Vienna.

Sala is not far from some lovely natural attractions. Gabcikovo-Nagymaros Dam is 40 kilometres away and is well worth the time spent in the car.
