Holidays in Sagura

Tired of scrolling through other people's holiday pics while you're polishing off your brekkie? Then book a getaway to Sagura and spend your days among the beautiful forests, lakes and mountains of Tohoku.

It lies 270 kilometres to the north of Tokyo, the capital of Japan.

Escape on a trip to some surrounding natural attractions. 35 kilometres out of Sagura, Akiu Otaki Falls is all yours to explore. Mt. Shinobu-yama, 40 kilometres away, is another sensational spot to find some peace and quiet.

In the mood for some exercise? Burn off some of those travel calories by roaming around Kakuda Park. You can also have a look around for native plants and small animals at Ogawara Park.

Don't forget to pack some blue and yellow clothes so you can cheer on the local soccer team, the Vegalta Sendai, at Sendai Stadium. Located 40 kilometres away in Sendai, the venue is also the home ground of the Sony Sendai FC.
