The hotel is old and moldy, water was leaking from the ceiling on the 4th floor. There is a sliding door near the reception that requires the room key, and I was never able to make it work. When I told one of the hotel staff that they should replace it with something more modern and functional, they shrugged with an attitude. Our room was claustrophobic and smelled like urine. The only good thing about it is convenience

Staff were efficient and welcoming. Room was comfortable, clean and in a quiet part of the hotel, which I had requested for, in order to sleep better. It was an overnight stay in winter, so there was hardly time to check out the pool and gym. Breakfast was the usual buffet fare. Best thing is easy access to Rome Airport to fly on to Singapore.

The breakfast was sub-par because, although I was there first thing, the cooked options were not warmed up. Also, one of the coffee machines was broken and the restaurant was very busy. The airport shuttle was supposed to be every 15 minutes but I had to wait longer that that.

We went to the restaurant in the hotel. At first we were greeted with a smile. After being seated a lot of time went by. The waitress with short brown hair finally came up to us didn't say hi or anything. Basically threw bread at us and kept going, no eye contact, didn't stop to see if we were ready order or wanted drinks. About 30 mins later came back for our order and never checkef on us again. Someone else brought out the food. Blonde hair and was nice. We had to go to the counter to pay. The same waitress with brown hair, acted like we didn't exist and again ignored us. Another person came, so we could pay. By the way, paying for bread we didn't ask for and crappy service is not right, but it was on the bill. If we had other options we would have gotten up and left.

Room was clean but very dated and quite small. Bathroom door didn't latch all the way. Lobby, restaurant, and common area were roomy and nice. I just had a quick overnight layover, so it was adequate for the stay, but I would probably choose another property next time.
