The hotel was amazing. Loved my room. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I especially loved the bar inside the hotel. The bartenders really know how to make excellent cocktails and are super friendly. I will be staying here the next time I am in Rio.

Excellent Stay with Just a Few Suggestions: We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Nacional Rio de Janeiro. The hospitality was great — the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room on the 16th floor had a stunning view overlooking both the ocean and the mountains, which made our stay even more special. The breakfast buffet offered a wide range of choices, including fresh fruits, pastries, and even live music on the weekend, which created a lovely atmosphere. I would suggest adding a few toasters for bread and warmers for eggs, as well as including some options for guests with dietary needs such as lactose intolerance. The outdoor pool area was very clean and enjoyable, and having direct access to the beach was a big plus. The lobby was beautifully decorated with plenty of comfortable seating — a great place to relax. A few small things could be improved. There was no tea/coffee maker in the room, which is unusual for hotels of this category. We visited the on-site coffee shop instead, but the cup sizes were very small for the price. It would also be nice if the hotel offered at least one complimentary bottle of water upon arrival, especially for longer-stay guests like us. Additionally, aside from the reception team, staff generally didn’t speak English, which made communication a bit challenging at times. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and the beautiful location. With just a few improvements, this hotel could easily move from excellent to exceptional.
