We were given a standard room on 1st floor despite a luxury room with sea view reservation. We were told we will be transferred once a higher floor room becomes available. Next day after lunch, we had to follow up and finally got the room we paid for. So we lost out for 1 and 1/2 days and no apologies. It’s like we should be thankful we even got transferred!

Ocean view, room was tight but clean. Beds were two single beds rather than one double. When pushed together they would shift and not stay in place. Not the most comfortable. Breakfast selection was A+, location A+, Staff was friendly. Overall a good stay.

We stayed 8 nights, staff was great, super helpful. Breakfast buffet had so many options to choose from, all delicious. Our double-bed room, with fantastic ocean view, had the basic necessities, but very tight. Having to work at the desk at end of first bed is difficult, unless you are very thin, you need to climb into chair from foot of bed. Doable but a tight squeeze and hope you don't have to get up and leave in a hurry. Our beds were not comfortable, moved around the floor every time we turned over. My daughter who moves around in her sleep (as we all do) found herself without her sheet between her body and the bare mattress one morning. And while I had no expectation that we would have been given brand new mattresses upon arrival, I cringed when I realized that there was not even a protective mattress cover to keep things cleaner between guests. Fitted sheets are a must. If this were only about staff, breakfast buffet, location, cleanliness, this would be 4-5 stars for sure. The other things, especially updating their towel and bed linens would be an easy and inexpensive uplift for an otherwise nice hotel.

I found the hotel and its staff good to work with and be at. The only bit of challenge was getting to it. I used Uber quite a bit and I had one cancel on me, because, I think, it is a bit of a challenge to reach it because of how the nearby roads all seem to travel the same direction - so this adds to extra planning for drivers to get to the hotel.
