The room felt totally neglected. I’ve stayed there twice in the last two months. The first time no one came to my room. I wound up having to get towels from the front desk and eventually just asked to be put in a new room to have clean sheets and towels. This time someone at the front desk said there was a note to come into my room every day. They came the first day and then not after that. We wound up having to ask for towels and toilet paper at the front desk. I thought they maybe were a casualty of the Trump administration and that their housekeeping people were afraid to show up because of the ICE raids, but my son, who used to stay there and no longer does, said that’s the norm for them now. In fact, a woman at the desk last time told me they only clean the rooms when someone checks out. There was a note in the elevator that both of their ice machines were broken and you could go to a hotel nearby if you wanted ice.

Accidentally booked this room in Richmond but wanted one in Charlottesville. The two hotels are owned by the same company but Brian, the front desk clerk, refused to let us move the reservation to Charlottesville. Pathetic. Practically begged but “no”. Expedia was willing but not the hotel.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable lobby. Rooms need new sheets, comforters, and shower curtains as there were holes in each and stains in the comforter - they need to replace the items showing that much wear and tear.
