Outdated ghost town

Terribly run down ghost town. I have been staying at the nugget for 20 plus years now I bring my own family here thinking of all the fond memories I had and am extremely disappointed. The pool is in desperate need of a remodel, half the games in the arcade are broken, the room service was $70 with soggy French fries and cold soup. The beds are hard and a super STRONG smell of urine came from the shower curtain.

Disappointing

Check in was difficult until a more well spoken individual came to the front desk, first clerk was difficult to understand due to heavy accent. The room air was spoiled by a heavy odor, foul air smelled much like a marijuana smoke, not sure if it was from air ducts or the next room. In addition their was spoiled food left in the refrigerator and hair left in the drain. Yuck! For the price of the room......not a flea bag rate, it was very disappointing, I will certainly not be recommending or returning .

There needs to be more luggage carts at the enda of the resort tower to allow guest to get all luggage at one time. Staff were rude about getting a cart and had to carry multiple trips to the room.

We checked into the nugget for two things, a cool room to relax and the pool for the kids. It was an unusually warm day for early in spring, and the pool was absolutely packed. When we checked into our room in the Casino Tower, the A/C was on, but it was not cool in the room. We had hopes that it would just take more time to cool the room, but it never wound up working. I took a cool shower in the morning just to cool myself off before departing. Staff seemed less than thrilled to be speaking to us at all, not even making eye contact when we walked to the desk. No apology was made, and hardly anything was said upon reporting the A/C not working. We’re supposed to be staying there again this weekend and I’m very hesitant.

Our A/C stopped working at around 9pm-10pm, so we had to switch rooms in the middle of the night, had no help from bellhops and front desk acted like it was normal. What are we paying resort fees for in a suite if something like this happens and we can’t even get any help.
