The Hotel Chateau Laurier was an excellent hotel in the heart of Old Quebec. Tons of restaurants within walking distance and the port and lower area within the Citadel walls is only a short walking distance away. Our room was on the Plains of Abraham side and we had a wonderful view of the park. The hotel was very clean and the room was large and comfortable. 5 out of 5 stars all around.

Beautiful hotel. So many restaurants right on the side of it. Walked to everything. Right near old down town, the citadel etc. Two hot tubs. Didn’t go in pool cuz lotsa kids and it was cloudy. The water station in the lobby has essences for your water and is free, lovely. Lobby also has The coffee/expresso machine which put out fantastic coffee. And there’s a wine dispenser that we didn’t use but thought it was cool. It was the perfect location! We absolutely loved Old Quebec , and surrounding areas. Will definitely return.

Family two day stop on the way back from the coast. Always the preferred hotel in Quebec City. Right in middle of all the sites, restaurants, history, and a nice walk to the fort and all of old Wuebec City area.

Phenomenal hotel, customer experience lacking

What a gem of a hotel. We loved the room we were offered and being placed in a quieter and much much less congested area of the hotel. Check-in was wonderful and the employee helping us was great. The room was large and stunning with a living room, fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. The unfortunate part of the stay was that some employees simply don't care about customer experience or service. On our second morning, room cleaning knocked on the door at 8 AM. We asked to return in about 30 minutes, as we were getting ready. That day our room was never serviced. That afternoon I called the front desk to ask for cleaning and the woman's lackluster tone signalled to me that nothing was going to get done. She said they would be up in 30 minutes. When 30 minutes passed we went down to reception to mention we were stepping out again and that no one has come and the same woman on the phone gave the most lackluster, meaningless, brushed off response. No one ever showed up. A big thank you to the maintence man who I intercepted in the hallway. He seemingly knew I was being taken for a ride and helped. He provided us with a whole new set of towels and coffee pods. The essentiels. Will I stay here again? Perhaps. I'd really like to. But the serious disinterest and lack of attention and care shown by some employees soured the experience and makes me question trying it again.
