Sorry! As much as we've tried, we haven't been able to track down any places to stay in the centre of Pugo.

However, 30 kilometres from Pugo you'll find Jangseong. This nearby area offers a number of hotels and apartments. These include the Ramada Plaza Gwangju and Shin Yang Park Hotel.

Attractions and Hotels Near Pugo

If you've been blessed with the wanderlust gene (well duh, you're here right?), then you won't want to miss out on exploring the wider South Jeolla region. Among South Jeolla's natural wonders are its beaches and coastal plains. After finding zen in nature, have a look around castles. Visitors with a serious appetite for adventure might also like to try a little mountain climbing, hiking and picnicking in this part of South Korea.

Gwangju is another place where you can kick back and get to know the room service menu. Located 35 kilometres east of Pugo, it's where you'll find the Chosun University Museum of Art and May 18 Democracy Square. Gwangju hotels include the Holiday Inn Gwangju and Pedro's House - Hostel. Or, you could consider staying in Mokpo, 50 kilometres to the south of Pugo, where you can pick from the Sunshine Motel and Fontana Beach Hotel. If you're staying in Mokpo, don't miss Jeollanamdo Agricultural Museum and Hanyeong Cinema Bowling Center.

Get a ride 90 kilometres northeast and you'll come across Jeonju, a regional centre with a population of 700,000. While you're in this neck of the woods, get your tourist on at the Jeonju Zoo, the Sori Arts Center of Jeolla and Miseong Bowling Jang. If you end up hanging out for a while, continue on and check out the vibe at the Hanji Museum and the Jeonju Korean Traditional Wine Museum. If you want to stay in Jeonju, check out the current deals at the Dukmanjae and Hongranmiduk.
