Breakfast menu was great. Amenities were fabulous. Rooms were clean and cleaning staff was great. I wish there was a hot tub and sauna available for families to use (it was available but for over 18 only).

Located in Calheta, Saccharum Resort is by the sea, a 3-minute drive from Casa das Mudas Arts Center and 9 minutes from Church of Our Lady of Light.
We came for two days - we stayed five. Is there more to say? The gym? Nice! The spa? Nice. The pool? Nice! I had a burger at the bar on day one. Not the best one.
