With around 180,000 people living in the city, be prepared to rub shoulders with a few friendly locals. To get to Powell from McGhee Tyson Airport, stretch out those cramps and then head 30 kilometres north. If you're arriving from central Knoxville, you'll need to head 15 kilometres northwest.

A number of this city's sights are dotted near Powell, and the Knoxville Expo Center and Bounce USA are two of the very best. You should also be sure to drop by the Green McAdoo Cultural Center and Max Air Trampoline Park. While you're in town, think about exploring a few other neighbourhoods to appreciate more of what Knoxville offers. North Knoxville and Heiskell are some great areas that are a short distance away.
