Pro’s - Beautiful property! Aesthetically pleasing. Rooms are beautiful! - Xplor, Xenses and Xenotes are all awesome! The excursions are definitely worth doing and worth the price! Con’s - room service wait time and quality was hit or miss. Getting them to answer the phone for it was also a challenge. We ordered one night around 9pm and were told it was about an 80-90 min wait! Like I’ll be asleep by then! And we were! - Tub takes forever to fill and was not user friendly at all! Had to call service to figure out what we were doing wrong! - Upselling as soon as you arrive - like I don’t want to attend a timeshare brief! This resort definitely has that timeshare feel compared to other resorts. When you check in they try to have you commit to a brief about joining the Xcaret destination club (timeshare) and when you check out they are trying to get you to book their deal to return by booking same day. - Picture packages not all inclusive after spending so much money! There is a disconnect between the hotel and the parks. At the hotel we were told wait until the end to purchase your photo packages and then when we went to Xplor day 1 we were told we had to purchase the photo package there because they link to our helmets. So we listened but then the last day at the hotel we were told we should have waited so we could get the package deal and that it was too late since we already purchased at the park and that they have issues with this constantly! Yet nothing is being fixed!

The hotel was really good and also the parks but the food wasn’t as the last time I went. Also the remove alcoholic beverages for 2 complete days without previous warning and they made sit at a restaurant to be able to drink. Staff was really rude. I didn’t enjoy my stay.

Terrible Checkout Experience

I’m deeply dissatisfied with how I was treated during checkout at Hotel Xcaret Mexico. While I enjoyed my stay, my departure experience was extremely disappointing. My flight was changed to 6:00 AM the next day. I asked the front desk if I could take the latest airport shuttle, but was told it was only for same-day flights. No alternatives were offered. I had to pay $108 for a private car scheduled for 3:30 AM and was told I could lounge on the property until then. When the car arrived, I had misplaced my checkout slip and requested another copy. I was met with confusion, accused of lying about being on the premises, and told by a manager that he saw me on camera and I had to pay for an extra night. At no point was I told staying on the grounds would result in a charge, nor was I offered the option to extend my stay. Given the late hour, I paid under pressure to avoid missing my flight. I strongly believe this charge was unfair and should be refunded. The handling of the situation lacked clarity, professionalism, and hospitality. I hope this matter can be reviewed and resolved quickly.

We love staying at Xcaret Hotel. My husband and I have stayed at both Hotel Mexico and Arte and had such an amazing stay. The customer service you get there is wonderful. They make you feel right at home. Their buffet, restaurants, and 24 hour room service is so delicious. Our favorite restaurant was Las Cuevas. There is so many things to do there, so you never get bored. They’re all fun inclusive allows you to experience so much more without having to pay extra. We definitely recommend coming here, we look forward to planning our next vacation here.
