The Xcaret Hotel was beautiful and loved it all. However, I was not happy when we arrived they wanted to give one King size bed with sofa. When I reserved two Queen beds and they told me it was not guaranteed. We waited over an hour close to two hours for full check in to accommodate us in a two bed. And unfortunately, our room was by the elevators. Hard to sleep due to noise. And on the first night, a couple was obnoxiously and very loud were arguing outside our room by the elevators. Disturbing our sleep. Next time we plan to stay away from elevators and travel more during the week.

The all fun inclusive is a must for those that want to enjoy without worries of transportation, food or park costs. Huge, clean, and beautiful property. I loved that the room came with daily complimentary water, drinks ( sodas, juice, beer), snacks and free room service. Staff was so friendly, patient and genuine. Already planning our next Xcaret stay.

I was very disappointed with the Xcaret Mexico check-in staff. They strung me along for over an hour, telling me each time that my room was not available. We booked a river jump suite for the night and were super excited about having the river right outside. We had talked about it for days. We were told that the river jump suite would not be ready (with no reason as to why) and that we had been ‘upgraded’ to an ocean view suite on the 5th floor. They made it sound like it was a super special upgrade, way more expensive! I could give a crap about an ocean view. If I wanted that suite, I would’ve booked it myself. The staff were indifferent and sort of rude about the whole thing. My son was really disappointed, as was I. Thankfully all other Property staff were extremely kind and friendly.

The lobby staff and supervisors at check in are terrible! You expect superior service at a 5 star but it was more like 2 star service. Check out staff worse! No help or accountability whatsoever. My 7yr old dropped his bracelet and were charged $250 USD!! When I asked if they end up finding the bracelet (which they will) they said they will keep the $250. Had to pay to leave. The checkin process is average an hour and half. We stayed one week and extended because our kids loved the pools. Once you get past the checkin staff, the interior staff is wonderful. Grounds are wonderful, but there is tons of construction still happening. The non-buffet Restaurants be sure to reserve in advance or else no accommodations. Love the grounds but would not come back just because of the front staff. They need more training in helping customers in making their vacation easy and pleasant when arriving. Again, you expect this when you pay a premium. The room service takes easily an hour. Will not be coming back unfortunately.

I like the stay very much overall, all the parks were really fun and get to the buses for me were really easy but as a family that would like to spent most of their time at the parks, the reservation for almost all restaurant were inconvenient. I don’t like that inorder to make a reservation you have to go to the front desk, i feel like they should add that to their app. And if you get back to your room late after getting back from Xplor Fuego or the epectacular show than your only option is Room service. After 11 the menu is limited and most things run out. They will tell you that it would take about 90 minutes for the food to get delivered but usually takes more than 2 and half hours closer to 3.

I recently stayed at HoteXcaret and it was a complete letdown from start to finish. Despite reaching out more than three weeks ahead via email to request several key things for my trip, almost none of my expectations were met, and the entire experience felt disorganized and frustrating. First off, I tried to book a dinner reservation at Las Cuevas restaurant before my arrival, but when I got there, I was told I couldn’t get a table. I had actually chatted with the hotel’s WhatsApp bot, who confirmed that reservations weren’t necessary—turns out that was completely wrong. Not only was I left without dinner plans, but I also didn’t get any birthday gift or amenity in my room, despite asking for one in advance for a special occasion. To make matters worse, I also tried to arrange activities like kayaking and a trip to Xochimilco. None of this was confirmed ahead of time, and when I arrived, I was told it was too late to book anything. The concierge service was basically useless—every time I asked for help, I got little to no assistance, and definitely no solutions. Another issue was with the staff in Phase 1 of the hotel, particularly some of the waitresses and cooks, who were just downright rude and unhelpful. At Mercado de La Merced, I arrived with plenty of time before they closed, but they refused to serve me drinks because they were "too busy preparing for the next day." This is not the level of service I was expecting. Overall, my experience was a huge disappointment

I like the staff they are very nice and very welcoming . What I don’t like is that after 11pm you can’t eat anywhere room service waiting time was over 2 hours. The only restaurant open couldn’t go because I have a 15 years old consider a minor so she could not go in.

The checkin staff is terrible, un-prepared and unwilling to accommodate whatsoever. We booked 2 queen beds river suite for our stay. They gave us a king bed and a sofa the first night. The sofa bed coverts basically on the floor and very hard. Our kids are 7 and 9. They had an issue with our kids ages and attempted to charge us an additional “fee” which was totally unacceptable. The kids sofa bed does not come with blankets or pillows like you would find at other fine resorts. We had to call and request these items. When the blankets arrived, they came with a thin blanket and some white sheets. Nothing extra. I should have taken a picture of the bed on the floor. They seem overwhelmed with this new added section of the hotel and totally unprepared. It is a very slow process at checkin. We booked through Expedia. We spent a total of about 6 hours at the front desk (3 hours when we checked in and another 3 hours when we tried to change our room - I am not exaggerating). It was very frustrating and I was trying to keep my cool because I wanted my wife and kids to have a great week we’d are here before school starts. Also, heads up if you looked online like we did and saw all of the wonderful restaurants, the finer dining restaurants need reservations!!! There are absolutely no exceptions or accommodations/waitlist!!!!The staff told us they are booked at least a month in advance. This is our second night here and it does not look like we are even going to be able to eat there.

We stayed on the new side of XCaret Mexico. Overall, it was a great trip. We went with two adults and two teens. Leaving pros and cons for others to help others avoid some of the issues we had: Pros: great staff, clean property, clean rooms, couldn’t hear noise from neighbors, pools weren’t too crowded, good drinks, easy access to parks Cons: 1) despite trying to reach out several times via several different methods, we couldn’t get dinner reservations. All restaurants were fully booked when we got there and no one could get us in anywhere. Seems like they only help those who book through XCaret directly or a travel agent. Super disappointing as we wanted to eat dinner at The Cevas or somewhere other than a buffet 2) we were surprised to learn we were staying in the new phase as that was not communicated to us until we got there. Parts are still under construction 3) no one ever cleaned our room. They’d do the nightly turndown but did not clean or provide new towels and 4) it’s a huge property - only call that out as families with little kids might find it challenging as there is a lot of walking involved

Good food options, bed super comfy, excellent service, specially roof top bar staff at Cielo? Specially The guy from Chetumal y Rodolfo. However, we didn’t like the pressure to be a hotel member? I’m on vacations, not to do business. And…all our reservations for parks and restaurants were not granted bc we didn’t have a reservation #… even though we had the emails showing our conversations. If they don’t give you one, how are supposed to know ?

The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, but the experience was let down by the staff. They were generally unhelpful and seemed uninterested in assisting guests. Making reservations at the on-site restaurants was nearly impossible, and no effort was made to accommodate or offer alternatives. Disappointing service overall. Not coming back.
