Book Platería hotels

We had two nights at GHL lake Titicaca- after 10 days traveling up the sacred valley, on a multi activity trip with lots of hiking and water activity and occasional camping we were delighted to stay in such a comfortable hotel. Everything met my expectations with only one exception - on both evenings the service at the hotel bar was extremely slow. The bar staff were welcoming and polite but on both evenings we waited considerably longer than we’d have expected for a simple round of drinks. My only other comment was that twice the hotel contacted me to ask if I needed anything when we arrived and twice I asked if they could help arrange a lake tour but on both occasions nobody got back to me. This may have been an issue with the Hotels.com platform??

Very impressed with the hotel. Great location, minutes away from the main square and a lot of business/restaurant around. The room is very clean. It has all the necessary equipment, particularly a space heater, which is very necessary for the cold night. The people work there are super friendly and helpful. I bought some food back to the hotel. They lended me some bowls for eating the food. I had to leave in the morning to catch a bus. They know I won’t have time to eat breakfast, so they prepared me a boxed lunch. I would definitely say the service here is better than majority of hotels I have been to.

El desayuno solo lo ofrecen de 6 a 830 am algo difícil para los que no tienen que madrugar. Ruidos desde las 6 am que imposibilitan dormir. Lo demás bien!

This is a traditional hotel, very clean, but hot water was not smoothly regulated. The water was shut down the very next day at 9 AM to fix the hot water issues. Then why I gave it a 5 stars rating? It is because of the staffs. From checking in, they were friendly and smiling, went out of their ways to help us finding our room. I was sick later that day and they asked how I was doing whenever they met me. When the water was shut, they carried two 5 gallons pails with water to our room. The staff made it like home. If we ever come back to Puno, this is where we will stay.

Great location for Candelaria festivity. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of choices offered at breakfast. Additionally, the hotel's location is excellent, as it is within walking distance of the Plaza de Armas and many restaurants. I also truly appreciated the staff, who were very attentive to all of our questions.
