Visiting Pitt

Hotel was a 15min walk from Univ of Pitt, which was the reason for our visit. Hotel was solid: comfortable, clean. Room climate was a little damp. Parking was pretty expensive though, so that was a big drawback. Also would've been nice for the breakfast buffet to have scrambled eggs or omelettes, but they only had hard boiled. Overall a good stay.

Nice accommodation

Nice clean and up to date. Parking should be free as they have a huge on property lot. Unfortunately, their continental breakfast was kind of a mess. Crowded and shoved in a back corner. The first day we just got coffee and the second day it was empty even though it had more than an hour to go until it closed.

There were several events going on this weekend, including Pitt's many graduation ceremonies and the Pittsburgh Marathon. The hotel was very festive and offered congratulatory water and cupcakes for folks. We had a little trouble getting things figured out, as we had two separate bookings through Hotels.com. The third person we spoke to for assistance was finally able to figure it out. Misty is awesome.

There was a brown stain on the comforter on the bed. The breakfast did not have any eggs not even scrambled. The gym was 3 treadmills- no weights. The bathroom door did not have a lock or an exhaust fan so you could hear everything. The mattresses were very uncomfortable.

Decent stay

The hotel is just okay being it's an older property. They could improve their breakfast selection by adding more gluten free items. In which they're out the entire four mornings I was there. The hot water gets super hot and the toilet handle broke, but they took care of it by moving me to another room.
