The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. We found the building to be relatively quiet, considering it's an older property. While some areas were a bit tired, this didn't take away from the overall quality of our stay, with the attentiveness of the staff, definitely helping.

Decor a bit dated but clean and tidy. Building looked good from outside. Grounds were needing tidied up and were not very well maintained. Planters at front needed watered and tidied up. Room was spacious and had good views from windows. Only one window opened. Bed was comfortable and shower and toilet was good. Food was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Set menu gave a good choice. Staff were friendly pleasant and helpful We enjoyed our stay!

Clean room but hotel needs updating

Clean, spacious room but stained carpet which isn't what I like to see on entering a room. Obviously an old hotel which does have areas which need updating. Reception area needs to be updated too and first impressions on entering were a tired hotel. Breakfast was hot with a variety of choice.

Nice exterior looking property walkable to town. Room was very basic, with few amenities. Interior shows its age but is charming for what it is. Breakfast was nice and worth the extra cost. Would stay again but would look for upgraded room.

Really nice old building . Perfect for a quiet break. Rooms could do with a wee freshen up but would not put me off going back. Had a great room with amazing views . Good selection for breakfast. Staff all good

The staff at the hotel are lovely, the breakfast was good, the gym/pool facilities were good. Parking at the hotel was excellent - the only downside is that the hotel is in need of a refurbishment - carpets in public areas are threadbare and patched, within the room they were stained and wrinkled and the bathroom could have done with an update but all in all it was an ok stay

Disappointing stay.

Very Disappointed. Tired, worn down surroundings. Dull colours, worn carpets, and generally not very welcoming. Room was drab, two wee windows (one didn't open) Couldn't get power at wall sockets but had that explained AT CHECKOUT -too late to find out-worked by second switch at door. Bathroom very dated. Broken tile. Came back into room to find a plumber repairing flush. Tho he was very polite I did get a fright to find someone in my room. Grounds need tidying and weeding

The bed was hard like concrete. It was so small and we could not even turn to lie on our backs, it was that small. We slept on our side, and it was so hard.

Dated and neglected

From the outside the hotel look very nice. However inside it is very dated and feels run down and neglected. The bed was very small and hard. The room was very basic and looked cheap! We had a terribbke nights sleep and woke stiff and achy! The staff were pleasant. I would not recommend this hotel.
