We stayed recently, this place is advertised as a 4-5 star resort. It is not. The beds are hard. Really hard and uncomfortable. All rooms have the same beds as we enquired. I do not normally complain but this was pretty bad. There was trash not emptied, litter everywhere. The sheets had dirt on them - so the bed was not clean on entry. We spoke to others at the resort and all had cleanliness issues. There was a glass bottle in the pool. Leaves and debris. The tiles on the steps in the pool were all removed and the lattice was left which was rough and unsafe. This place looks to be largely neglected - it is in need of a major overhaul and maintenance. The walkway in the lobby is damaged and gives way a bit when you walk on it. We booked a pool access room for 4 days and had to leave after the second night. We tried to leave after first night but staff made it difficult to cancel - said we needed to go through Expedia, then they ignored expedias attempts to contact them which meant we needed to stay another night. They then tried to say that reception (which is 24hours) couldn’t handle our checkout until the next day and when we got there the next day they tried to pull it again. The hotel refused partial refund for the days we paid for for checking out early. We explained the beds where much too hard (husband also has back issues which made it worse). Was very disappointed. It is sad to see when a place that was probably wonderful 20 years is neglected this badly. Less than 1⭐

They property needs major upkeep, from the grounds to the rooms. Cleaning needs to improve. Not changing sheets or towels in a week long stay is awful. Otherwise, beautiful location and warm staff.

I had a dreadful experience at this hotel and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, not even my dog. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a dirty environment and unprofessional front desk staff. My room had roaches, and the bed was uncomfortably hard with stained sheets. The shower was in a deplorable condition, and there were no clean towels provided throughout my stay. To make matters worse, the restaurant was closed, adding to the frustrations. Each time I walked past the front desk, I encountered guests voicing their complaints, which only highlighted the hotel's numerous issues. This was an absolutely disappointing way to celebrate my birthday. I strongly advise against staying here!

Rooms were given to us dirty on check in- there were cigarette buds, beer bottles, stained dirty sheets on the bed, dirty bathroom. The room had an awful mould smell. We asked staff to clean at 2.30pm upon getting the room. No one attended until 5pm. My partner even went to reception to ask at 6pm but they said housekeeping has been notified. No one came until 9pm that night. Reception then said housekeeping is now gone home. We asked for a room change but staff said that only a manager could authorise this. We then asked to speak with manager on duty- staff informed us that there are no managers during the day and they start at 11pm. We waited to speak with the manager who upgraded us to a new room. We got moved to our new room by 3am that morning. The new room also was dirty, full of cobwebs, dust and more stained sheets. To top it off there was termites in the room and you could see frass/ turmite dust near the bed and the other furniture. I had trouble breathing that night. We attempted to book another hotel but given it was new years eve- there were no bookings available and a few that were they were about 3000aud per night. The hotel refused to acknowledge our concerns and denied a refund. This hotel is in dire need of a refirb. Its falling apart. It needs a management and staff review. Don't go here!!!! Other regular hotels are much better and worth your money. Expedia wasn't able to help us either in this regard.

It was evident that this resort formerly was very nice, but poor maintenance, poor attention to the facilities, and low occupancy made it feel run down and definitely not a good value. We also had several maintained issues in our room that could not be addressed during our stay (such as broken shower).

Horrible, do not stay here, place is practically falling apart, photos are extremely old and do not reflect the state of the property. It’s also pretty dirty, old bed outside our rooms, rubbish everywhere, I don’t know what happened here, but it is almost abandoned. Checked in and left after an hour. Staff refused to give refund as did Expedia, so don’t expect any assistance from any of them…
