Very basic but clean bed and staff friendly. Bathroom in desperate need of a refurb but was also clean. Best service was from housekeeping and even checked on me when I’d been ill making sure I had towels and bed was changed while I sat on a chair outside the room. Smell of food at a certain time of day and we realised it’s because there was a kitchen right below us. Only being able to have one room card was really annoying, staff seemed slightly annoyed a few times because they had to come up and let me in the room when my husband was out (imagine if you’re sharing with a friend and doing separate things more often). The lift broke on 3 occasions while we were there and have to go up very narrow steel metal stair case which is quite dangerous. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again, but my husband and his friend said they would (clearly I have higher standards than them!). Great location if you want to be right in the mix of the madness of Patong and cheap (only £700 for 17 nights 16th Dec-3rd Jan). Also good location for multiple beach clubs we wanted to go to like Cafe Del Mar and Yona. I would rather pay an extra few hundred to stay somewhere slightly nicer with a balcony as we couldn’t get anything dry. Can’t knock it for what it was though really.
