Good location but service can be batter

The place is conveniently located near the Patong Beach. Many food options around. However, Chek-in experience was bad. I booked 3 rooms. When I arrived at 3.30 pm, I was told 1 room was not available and I had to wait for an hour. I came back to the reception at 4.30 pm and the room was still not available. We had to proceed with our activities and checked in to the last room at 8.30 pm when we returned from dinner. Out of the 2 rooms available immediately at 3.30 pm, one room was wrongly issued to us. We opened the door and wa surprised that the room was occupied. Both the guests inside and us were shocked. CNA can that happene! Concerned abt the security where front desk issued a room and let us access the room while someone is still staying in. No reason nor apologise were provided. We were just moved to another room. When we made the booking, we requested all 3 rooms to be next to each other. But only 2 weee next to each other. The 3rd rooms was in the same block but different level. I think this can be done better. While I can understand the constraints. On checking out, we requested for late check out for late check out as our flight was at .30 pm. We negotiated and only one of the rooms was delay til 2 pm and we had to check out of the other rooms at 12 noon. We appealed for later check out on the 1 ro and was flatly rejected. We cited the unpleasant experience at check in. The reception staff just said “I on this shift. Please talk to the manager tomorrow.”.

The hotel offers easy access to Patong Beach and various restaurants and street markets in the area. The property is showing its age and the rooms could use some major renovations. We had to move twice because of loud noise from the street and excessive humidity in the next room. The staff were very attentive to our concerns and made sure that we were comfortable and that the air conditioning worked properly. We even received a letter of apology, free snacks and an offer for a late checkout. Great service!

Terrible! Nail in headboard of bed.

Terrible and unsafe. We have requested for high floor but was given ground floor instead. We booked 2 rooms. One room has nail in the middle of the headboard on the king bed. And there are wire dangling near the lamp. We requested for room change but was told that there is no room. Because of this we have to endure the danger for a night. Cannot imagine what will happen if our head got cut by the nail. I cannot believe Holiday Inn sell such room to guests. Please see my pictures for evident.

The Holiday Inn is an excellent hotel close to the beach and Main Street in Patong. Great facilities, spacious rooms and easy free parking if you rent a car. Friendly helpful staff. Only let down was the breakfast - average food quality. They have a cooking station for eggs - the chef there is rather grumpy. Also, he cooks a big batch of fried eggs which he puts on a plate, which goes cold, rather than frying them on request. Wasn’t happy that I asked for hot fried eggs. Maybe next time we will stay at the other Holiday Inn at the Southern end of Patong.

Very Good Hotel to Stay at

This is a very good hotel to stay at. Very nice rooms, very nice 1.2m deep pool. Very helpful staff and the location is extremely convenient being so close to the main Patong Central Beach.

The good As is the norm in Thailand, we were given a lovely warm and genuine welcome. Rooms OK and very clean. Convenient location. The not-so-good The pool isn’t big enough for the hotel. The breakfast was a real letdown. Poor quality produce and poorly executed. Would stay again.
