Under construction and underwhelming

We weren’t informed beforehand that the location we stayed at was under construction. So view was terrible and constantly noisy from the sounds of construction. The electricity was shut off randomly multiple times without explanation. Staff was nice but did not have experience with hotel management software and insisted that we had not paid even though we booked through hotels.com. This is the worst 4-star hotel I have ever stayed at.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree in Phuket and had a great experience. The hotel is clean, modern, and well-maintained. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. They greeted us with warm smiles and even gave us a delicious cookie when we checked in! The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The pool area is beautiful and perfect for relaxing. The breakfast buffet has a good variety of food, both local and international, and everything tasted fresh. The location is great too—close to the beach, restaurants, and shops, but still quiet enough for a peaceful stay. Overall, I would highly recommend the DoubleTree in Phuket if you’re looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Great service, good food, and a perfect spot to enjoy your holiday!

Service was excellent. Pool and swim up bar was great despite the major construction being done during our stay. Happy hour at the pool was great. Poolside dj and half price drinks.
