Enjoyed my stay and will be going again. It's good to have the restaurant operating again for evening meals so you can relax after a day out and eat in comfort.
Splendid place that reflects the grandeur of a past era. ' A grand old lady' in , what must be, the very best location in Penzance. Just across the road is the extra wide prom and the sea. Amazing panoramic views. The staff are delightful andextremely helpful. We're happy to stay again when in the area.

Upgrades need to be done if you really want a more convenient environment like redecorate floors and more overhaul.

The hotel has a good location within walking distance from the station, which is very convenient. However, I found the rooms to be quite basic, and the breakfast options were limited. My room also only had a view of the back of some flats, which was a little disappointing
Fabulous hotel and views of the sea in Penzance had a restful nights sleep was given a quiet room and the breakfast was very good lots of Vegan choices. Wonderful stay will definitely highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you.
Bathroom black mould, cold tap wobbled. Floor was patched up and broken dirty, towel rail rusty. Bed sheets not even tucked in. Breakfast basic staff spot wiped table so we had crumbs and sticky marks, waitress put fingers in cups. One waitress has a polo shirt that looked as if not been washed for a while no aprons. Tea was tepid ran out of brown bed. Exceptional over priced. Would not return
Queens Hotel is unassuming from the outside - but once inside you're stepping back in time....it is spacious and charming with lots of amazing history and culture captured in the wonderful pieces on display that take you back, there is even a piano in the lobby. At one point on entry to the narrow lift, I thought I was in the movie 'the Shining' lol but that's just my sense of humour. There are super tall ceilings in the rooms with large windows. I had a great sense of freedom allowing me to completely relax. The room temprature was perfect no matter the weater outside. The Bathromm was spacious with hot water at any time of day and a sense of the super natural with a flikering light letting me know someone 'was' there - but remember I was in the Shining movie mode ;-) My seaview was breath taking the coastal view of Newly and Penrith held me captive for days. The food is delicious breakfast choices in abaundace if i had to gripe about anything it would be limited options of non alcohlic drink but really it didnt matter a nice to have but not the end of the world. The staff are warm professional good hardworking people who seem to be multi-tasking in their roles but friendly too. I was treated well what more can I say except - highly recommended and book a seaview otherwise there is no point!

The building and facilities are quite shabby. Lots of mold in the bathroom. Terrible food . The saving grace of this little hotel is is staff. World class service and friendliness . True Cornish hospitality. Would I stay again? I think I would.
Hotel was a bit tired and dated.
Room comfortable and clean. With great sea view.
Breakfast ok but poor range of choices in buffet.
Overall, pricey at £220 for a double room with sea view.

Ordered room with bath, only a poor shower! Carpet stained wardrobe door stuck. Mentioned to reception and they said sometimes they have to move rooms around. Would tell maintenance man re door. Staff very nice but generally room needed updating.
As was most expensive of three hotels booked in SW would not return.
The staff were extremely helpful. Food was excellent. Need to change the menu a bit more for variety. The room and beds were very comfortable.

Not for everyone, but a timeless treasure
This old hotel is delightful in its historical ambiance. The staff was wonderful. However, the whole place needs paint, carpet and a thorough cleaning. My room had dirt clumps on the carpet and pieces of plastic (as would come on a straw.) The whole wing smelled musty and dank. If you can handle the creepy, dirty carpets and dust, it’s an experience.
Mark and Karen are fantastic hosts. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with lots of extras provided. The breakfast foods prepared by Karen are delicious!
