Very good

Hotel was very clean with really good staff . Hotel could do with a makeover but it’s still in pretty good shape. There was a problem with the evening meal as our food was served burnt, it was sent back and replaced with food that wasn’t overcooked. The waiter was amazing as this was not his fault but the chefs. Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel

I’d booked in March and contacted hotel to discuss the room. Arrived to find the window immediately faced a brick wall at almost £200 room only. No room to change to even though I’d booked months before.

Missed having a socket near the bed for charging my mobile even, my extra long charger didn’t reach the pillow, apart from that all ok.
The worst mattress I have slept on in years, I can forgive the hotel being a bit shabby and the room not cleaned properly, but that was the worst, creaking and rock hard.
However the food is excellent would defo eat again in the restaurant just wouldn’t stay they night.
This hotel is supposed to have a restaurant however, on arrival i was told that it "wasn't open this evening unfortunately ". When i came down to breakfast the next morning ttey said thru weren't able to offer a cooked breakfast today but that i could gave tea or coffee......really???
At least i now now know to avoid this shambolic fawlty towers. If there is a manager they need to give him / her the boot
Friendly helpful staff and excellent well cooked hot food in the evening. Excellent large car park. Unfortunately very small full English breakfast was awful. Everything except sausage was very over cooked, some items actually burnt. Each morning something was missing. Juices was tasteless. Dinning room chairs was very stained in need of a good clean. Our room was a good size but needed updating and decorating. The bathroom had a musty smell with mouldy grouting. The outside grounds is disappointingly unkempt. Condition nothing like this picture above.

Most of the staff were lovely. No lager over the weekend, poor bar management. Rarely anyone at the bar, had to go to find staff. Would not accommodate an early breakfast at the weekend, only a continental. The hotel desperately needs updating. The bath mat was mouldy and stank, the shower curtain wasn’t much better.
The pillows were like bricks, the bed was old and uncomfortable and there was a hair in it. The room had disgusting old shaggy carpet that had bits stuck in it. The room smelt horrible and clearly had had a dog in it, I had to take an antihistamine as I felt so itchy. There was no mini bar. The noise from the creaking floor boards upstairs was very bad. Tried to go and eat something but there were no staff and then another guest had said don’t bother unless you want to wait an hour for food as they had been. The whole experience was like being in Faulty towers
