"Great ambience, food and family friendly"
Our apartment was luxurious and very comfortable. We absolutely loved the generous couch on the alfresco overlooking the children's pool which could be completely sealed by sliding shutter doors. The ambience was very calming at night with the sound of the water features and the flame lit torches. My wife and I were able to cuddle and chat while our kids slept. Our toddler adored the children's pool, which really is outstanding, with its beachy feel, varying water depths and water jets and mini waterfall to splash in. We really liked being able to hang out there and order drinks from the lagoon bar, which itself would be great for lounging, with its numerous couches and spots to curl up, but our toddler wouldn't leave the pool. We also enjoyed being able to walk all of 40-50 metres from the resort pool area to the beach. And to top it off, the one night we had in the restaurant included one of the tastiest meals we've ever sampled in baked whole baby barramundi. The attendant on duty for our arrival kindly gave us discount breakfast vouchers when she saw we hadn't booked the breakfast buffet and had young kids, although it was still too pricey for us. I cooked a few nights in the apartment kitchen and found everything I needed.

"Fabulous location."
Fabulous location. Excellent and friendly service. We had a terrace room with spa which was well designed but needed some general maintenance. Two great pool areas but with a shortage of pool lounges. The organised five o'clock get togethers for guests were a wonderful predinnehr event.

Palm Cove has been dubbed Queensland’s ‘Friendliest Beach" with its casual beach style ambiance, friendly locals, decadent spa resorts and ancient melaleuca-lined paths that welcome you wherever you go. In this small scenic town surrounded by the Coral Sea and lapped by white sandy beaches, you can relax under coconut palms, lay beneath the warm sun or listen to the waves gently caress the shore as you fall asleep.

If you’re an adventure lover, you can try your hand at jet skiing and parasailing, kayaking, and hiking. Or perhaps you’ll find yourself plunging beneath the crystal clear waters and diving amongst colourful coral on the Great Barrier Reef, only a short boat ride away.

However, Palm Cove is not just for nature lovers. Those after an award-winning dining experience won’t be disappointed. With exceptional restaurants lining the esplanade, you’ll be feasting on exquisite Thai curries one minute and hoeing into crunchy Aussie fish and chips the next.

For those who enjoy some retail trading, there are local boutiques in Palm Cove as well as nearby Cairns and Port Douglas where you can buy designer clothing, bespoke jewellery, serene sarongs, local artworks, Aboriginal wood carvings and vintage wears. Alternatively, if you really want to max out your credit card, try your hand at the casino in Cairns. You never know - you might just end up with more than you imagined!

If you’re a land dweller, discover the many bushwalks in Palm Cove or set your sights further to the untouched forests of Cape Tribulation or the Daintree National Park just an hour’s drive away. Here you can gain a bird’s eye view from the beautiful Mount Alexandria Lookout, walk along the isolated beaches of Shipwreck Bay (only accessible by boat) and stop to admire giant turtles, clams, and tropical fish as sand squeaks beneath your feet. On your journey to this magical region, stop for brunch or a coffee and perhaps a few local treats at nearby Port Douglas, or learn more about the area at the Daintree Discovery Centre or Daintree Entomological Museum. A must visit is a brief stop or even a picnic at Thornton Beach on the other side of the Daintree Rainforest on Cape Tribulation Road, just an hour’s drive from the Daintree National Park and Mossman Gorge just 15 minutes from Palm Cove.

So what are you waiting for? Catch a flight to Cairns today, book into our great Cairns and the Topical North experiences and make the journey to Palm Cove where the sun is as endless as the Coral Sea and the white beaches are waiting for your squirming tootsies to free themselves from the shackles of your shoes.
