We booked a poolside room and when we arrived were not given a poolside room. We were then informed there were no other rooms available other than the one we were given. And it was next to the sports bar where live music played very loudly right next to us while we tried to put 2 kids to sleep. Not great.

My room had thick dust on most surfaces. The bed spread & blanket has something funky on it. The bathroom had random hairs throughout.The noise was unbelievable, echoing from the lobby, stairwell & hallway. The staff was very friendly & upbeat. This hotel has a waterpark with a list of specific rules. Not many patrons followed these set rules and the staff just turned a blind eye. This created chaos in the area and was, unfortunately, very disappointing.

Someone had a yappy little mutt next door and took well over an hour for Night Manager to respond requesting different room. Gave up waiting. Plus thru room reservation, i stipulated a close room as have mobility issues, Travelodge said it didn't receive that message and gave me a room i almost had to call a cab to get to. Nice room tho

Ok so. I got a theme suite. I had to. Outer space theme? Yes, I'm staying solo and I'm a 41 year old man, but I couldn't NOT get the space suite. And it seriously did not disappoint in its decor. So that bumps it up in rating significantly. Now, that said, it's a Travelodge. The bed is a bit stiff. There are some minor scuffs and chipped paint if you look for them. They have those stupid curtains that you can't actually close, which was a bit awkward since my window looked out to the pool. Honestly, I normally avoid Travelodge hotels. So if it wasn't a themed suite, it would be getting three stars, but the themed suite make the fun outweigh the not-so-great. The staff however were excellent - super friendly, helpful and courteous.
