Location is fantastic. Plenty of dining options and shopping right outside the hotel and the underground mall. Metro is nearby. Also it’s nice to have a convenient store connected to the hotel. Laundry facility is high tech as you can see the status from the TV in your room.

Calm oasis dear bustling commerce area near Osaka Umeda station. Went for the expo. Once you orient yourself, it's very convenient. Really enjoyed the breakfast.

Really good hotel. Close to Osaka central station and a 24 hour Donki. Right at the end of E Street, so a lot of isekaya, pachinko machines, and big echo karaokes. But the most convenient was an exclusive access from the hotel to the 24/7 Seven Eleven.

Excellent Hotel in Exciting Area in Osaka

Hotel was fantastic! Great location, right on the entertainment street of Umeda, surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops, karaoke, casinos, you won’t get bored! There’s a 7-11 attached to the hotel as well which is super convenient (no pun intended) for a late night snack or breakfast. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and nice, check in and out was smooth. Rooms were clean and comfy, perfect size for two. Amenities were also great. A few minutes walk to Umeda station so you can get anywhere in the city. Would highly recommend this hotel to visitors of Osaka!

The JR Via Inn Umeda boasts an absolutely fantastic location in Osaka. Staying here for three nights, I was thoroughly impressed by the sheer number of shopping and dining options right at the doorstep. The hotel's connectivity is also a major plus, with direct access to both JR Osaka and Umeda stations via an extensive network of underground tunnels. This made traveling to other parts of the city incredibly convenient. However, a significant area for improvement is the hotel's provision of directions for foreign tourists. The underground tunnel network, while a huge advantage, can be incredibly confusing without clear guidance. With luggage, navigating these tunnels is essential, but the lack of detailed directions made it a bit of a challenge. Compared to other Via Inn hotels I've stayed in, this one felt slightly dated. Nevertheless, the rooms were functional, clean, and the service was consistently excellent. The staff were helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. In summary, the JR Via Inn Umeda offers an unbeatable location and great service, but could greatly enhance the experience for international guests by providing clearer, more detailed directions for navigating the underground tunnel network. If you don't mind a slightly older hotel, the location and connectivity make it a strong choice.

Great location with direct access to 7 eleven

No doubt standard room size, location is a plus. For first timer following google map, it will tell u to exit from number 2 of Umeda station. However if u get use to the underground mall, u can walk all the way underground to M9 exit which is directly infornt of hotel. There is a direct access from hotel lobby to 7 eleven.
