Returned to stay after touring places outside Osaka (himeji, kinosaki onsen, amanoshidate, Kyoto). Luggage storage service was a major advantage. Instead of having to lug big luggage around, esp on trains.

Visited and stayed in Osaka before, but it is my first time staying around Namba area. A bit of a distance from the nakai/JR lines but walkable. Took quite long to locate the hotel at first but once get familiarised, you will be able find your way around easily. You can’t go wrong with Dormy Inn chain. Their amenities are great. Breakfast is delicious. They were able to keep my luggage for me for 3 days before I returned to stay for another 2 nights.

Good but Onsen is not Tattoo Friendly

The onsen is not tattoo friendly. My partner and I booked this hotel specifically because of the on site onsen. Knowing that tattoos are still not allowed in lots of places I checked their website and couldn't see any mention of a tattoo ban. When we went to use the onsen on our first night we noticed the signs up on the door. Other than the onsen the hotel is ok, good location and reasonably comfortable. The room was a weird set-up as the entry doubles as the bathroom but is also carpeted? They do have a freezer full of free ice cream though, which is a nice touch!
