Check-in was disappointing. The front desk attendant was unhelpful and disengaged. We shared we were celebrating our daughter’s 8th birthday and our 14th wedding anniversary, yet there was no acknowledgment, not even wishing her a happy birthday. She handed us room keys without explanation; I had to ask how to access parking and locate a luggage cart. She seemed annoyed, and bell service was only offered after we searched outside.
Within 15 minutes of entering the room, I found towels on the bathroom floor. When I picked one up, it was covered in vomit, which I touched with my bare hand. I reported it immediately. A housekeeping manager removed the towel but left without cleaning the floor or saying anything. I had to request another attendant to finish cleaning.
Night one: the second queen bed had a strong musty/mildew odor (where my daughter was to sleep). Replacement linens and pillows were requested; the pillows were the source. I asked they be removed, but they were left on the floor emitting odor. The A/C only blasted hot or cold with no control. A cockroach was found at the bar and reported. The TV did not work during the national championship; my husband fixed it himself.
Night two: A/C issues continued. The tub would not drain, and a ceiling leak above the shower was visible. Breakfast vouchers promised never arrived. Several outlets did not work.
All issues were reported in real time, some multiple times. No manager followed up during our 4-night stay. Terrible.
