Romantic accommodation in Old Naples

1 Star Unfortunately, this Mother’s Day weekend stay at the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa will be our last after staying here the past 4 Mother’s Days. From the moment we checked in, the experience started off poorly. The front desk staff was rude, dry, and completely lacked any kind of welcoming attitude. Our rooms weren’t ready yet, so we went across the street for lunch while we waited. During that time, my toddler lost her wristband. When we returned and explained the situation, the staff demanded that I search through my personal belongings because they refused to give a replacement wristband. I explained multiple times that she is a child and it was simply lost. Instead of trying to help or offer a solution, we were told it “wasn’t their problem.” At that point we had to ask for a manager just to get basic assistance. Thankfully the issue was eventually resolved, but the way the situation was handled was completely unacceptable, especially for a family resort charging premium prices. Very disappointing experience and not the level of hospitality we’ve received in past years. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Besides being charged incorrectly THREE times, our overall experience at the hotel was still very good. The hotel itself was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable throughout our stay. My son and niece had an amazing time enjoying the water park and all the different activities the hotel offered for kids, which kept them entertained the entire trip. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, although there were a few exceptions. There was always something fun for the children to do, which made the stay even more enjoyable for our family. If the billing issues had not happened, the stay would have been close to perfect. Overall, we still had a great time and created wonderful family memories.

It's elegant and intimate, so service is very attentive. It's a beautiful property and located walking distance from 5th Ave. Between the proximity and the shuttle, you really don't need to use your car during your stay. Restaurants, shopping and activities are all all closed by. You won't find better restaurants in all of Naples. You won't regret planning a stay here.
