The two of us enjoyed a very pleasant stay and slept comfortably on the Japanese futons. The facility is in good condition and has a wonderful public bath to wash off the stress of the day. Free hot refreshments are available anny time and the breakfast was excellent. Many nice restaurants are a short walk away. Wish I could have stayed longer.

We loved everything about this cute local place. Very comfortable and nice . The staff are very helpful. The place is very calm, the breakfast is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend it.

Ich war begeistert!

Das Ryokan ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ist aber gerade deswegen so charmant. Alle waren รคuรŸerst zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Es war ruhig und sauber. Das Frรผhstรผck so liebevoll serviert, ich habe es geliebt. Den Onsen im Haus habe ich nicht probiert. Die Lage der Unterkunft im รคlteren Teil Beppus ist super und sehr authentisch. Unbedingte Empfehlung fรผr echtes Japan-Feeling.

We canโ€™t thank the staff enough for their outstanding care during our stay! My husband sprained his ankle, and they went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable and well taken care of. From providing ice packs and extra pillows for support to assisting us with finding local medical care, their kindness and hospitality were truly remarkable. Every interaction with the staffs was met with genuine empathy and a willingness to help. This level of service made a challenging situation much easier to navigate. We highly recommend this hotel for their exceptional hospitality.

Very close to Takegawara Onsen and Beppu Station! In house public onsen was good (L1 and L2 onsen swaps genders in the morning and evening allowing guests to experience both available onsens).
